LINDSAY LOHAN: MUSE

In a reminder of why we fell in love with her onscreen presence, Ms Lohan has paired up with artist Richard Philips in an homage to screen sirens past. Channeling Brigitte Bardot with blonde tresses and Marilyn’s iconic white swimsuit, Philips paints Lohan as a modern day bombshell—a role she plays with ease.

St. Hilaire church in Melle by Mathieu Lehanneur

The scenario inspired by the topology of the place, just like a ‘box’ sunk into the sand.
Mathieu Lehanneur’s paradoxical church conversion is an architectural gesture, equally paradoxical and strangely distinguishable which will undoubtedly mark an important milestone in the development of religious works.  Religious architectural works are always within an austere context, not allowing the designer/architect to explore possibilities mainly because of what religion defines.  In the later years, some development and modernization is allowed within the strict religious milieu. Lehanneur’s work explores an organic addition to the already existing Romanesque church building of St. Hilaire in Melle in the Deux-Sèvres district of France.

I AM ELEVEN trailer

I Am Eleven focuses its attention on the ephemeral year of double-digits when young people are straddling the line between childhood and teenage-dom and “preparing to inherit a world changing as quickly and dramatically as they are”.
The above trailer gives a brilliant taste of what to expect from the film—which is currently slated for release later this year—in which 11-year-olds all over the world discuss everything from war, terrorism and politics to film, friends and art.
From a boy who appreciates the romance in Dirty Dancing to Czech Republic resident Grace, who says of her place in the world, “Sometimes I have to remind myself, Grace, don’t grow up too quickly, you’re eleven, just enjoy it while you can,” I Am Eleven promises to be a funny, heartbreaking and revealing reminder of what it’s like to experience your 11th year.
